My URBN Summer

During the Summer of 2022, I had the experience of pursuing a 10 week long internship working alongside the Anthropologie Technical Design Team. Through out my time at the URBN home office in Philadelphia, I learned critical skills while having the opportunity to expand on my creativity. The hands on experience gave me valuable exposure to practices in the industry and allowed me to grow as a professional.  During the internship program I tracked samples, took fit notes and collaborated with design teams to create set-ups for factories. I also completed two final intern projects which included creating  multiple block books and a wall mural made from 100% recycled materials.

FINAL PROJECT

Intern Collaboration

I loved being apart of an intern class because I was able to learn from those working from other teams. Getting together to expand on our craft was so much fun and great way to see what other experiences and opportunities are available in the industry. One of my favorite days was when one of the creative marketing interns needed a group of us to help out with an Urban Outfitter's TikTok! Collaborating with the other interns in the studio was a fun and creative experience to work together! I loved growing alongside such a diverse and knowledgeable group of interns.

Working with such talented people, allowed this to be a truly pivotal experience for me. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have collaborated with such  skilled and accomplished teams that showed me the process of working cross functionally to establish product. I know leaving the internship program, I am a stronger designer, creator and industry professional.
